Bláthú’s Quality Standards for Steiner, and Steiner-inspired, Early Childhood Education Services, 2025
In 2023, we announced the minimum standards that Bláthú would expect of our member services, and thatthese would be implemented over the next three years.
Member services that maintain these standards will be provided with a certificate to display publicly in their service stating that they meet the standards.
These are:
o Attendance at in-person and online CPD workshops offered by Bláthú, or,
o Participation by staff members on a Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood training programme, whether in Ireland or abroad, or a foundation course in Anthroposophy, is considered as relevant CPD.
o Bláthú recommends that each staff member attend a minimum of 1 CPD per annum.
Bláthú offers a considerable discount when a service commits to a series of 3 pre-booked visits in a year. We highly recommend that your service avail of this.
Please note: On the day of a mentoring visit, there comes a time of reflection, a two-way conversation about the day, to talk about any observations and issues that arose. This is when the NDO gives feedback, and is also for planning further actions. As this all takes time, a minimum of 2 hours should be set aside for this crucial part of the mentoring process.
