About Membership of BLÁTHÚ
Our vision is that early childhood settings are places where children are known, where they experience a life of activity and adventure, and are fully self-expressed. With a focus on the formative first 7 years of life, we are informed by the methods of Rudolf Steiner, deep insight into child development, and observing and working with nature. We support those who create an environment that nurtures this vision, and we ensure these practitioners have access to ongoing development, training and advocacy.
As a member of BLÁTHÚ, you are part of a recognised professional body who, through its mission and actions, is committed to furthering the profile and formation of the Steiner-Waldorf Early Years services and pedagogy.

Full Membership
This is open to Kindergartens/Early Years Services as organisations, which allows you to avail of FULL benefits. 3 contact persons receiving correspondence, usually lead teacher, assistant teacher & the committee secretary. All members of staff/committee can avail of discounted rates for BLÁTHÚ workshops and events, and may register to access member-only resources on the website. Your service can avail of a FREE annual visit from BLATHU mentor. Your service can receive a certificate to frame and display, stating that your service meets the quality standards of a Steiner kindergarten, or a Steiner-inspired kindergarten. An admin fee of €25 will apply for provision of the certificate. See Quality Standards for more info. Cost: €95 annually |
Smaller initiatives such as parent and toddler groups, or childminders, can take out a reduced rate membership, which means they can avail of full benefits, with one person receiving correspondence, discounts and access to members-only resources on our website.
Cost: €40 p/a Individual membership is available to members of the general public, students, and parents of children who may be attending one of our member settings. Individual members receive updates, newsletters, discounts to BLÁTHÚ events, and access to member-only resources on our website. Cost: €25 p/a Associate membership is available to organisations such as VCO’s, universities or colleges who wish to associate themselves with BLÁTHÚ, receiving updates and discounts to BLÁTHÚ events. Cost: €65 p/a |
